The week began with no real surprises. Kansas crushed Oklahoma State in Allen Fieldhouse 92-65, and Texas cruised to a 23-point home win over Iowa State.

ESPN’s “Big Monday” brought us the first Big 12 games of the week, when Kansas traveled to Waco to take on Baylor.
The calendar has flipped over to 2011, and that means the conference basketball season is upon us. The Big 12 will tip off this weekend with a slue of games on Saturday. The pick of the litter will be Kansas State traveling to take on Oklahoma State in Stillwater at noon, Central Time.

This was a week intended for early season movement, ESPN titles it “Feast Weak” with a title encompassing several different meanings.
The Jayhawks won on talent alone last year, as they posted a 32-2 record heading into the NCAA Tournament. However, Kansas wasn’t as impressive as their record indicated during the regular season.
